Mahar's Anyone?

BACK IN THE DAY, WHEN OKTOBERFEST WAS HELD IN
OCTOBER, NOT SEPTEMBER, MANY STYLES OF BEER WERE
SERVED, NOT JUST THE MAERZEN NOW ASSOCIATED WITH
THE EVENT.  ONE SUCH WAS SCHNEIDER EDEL-WEISSE, BREWED STRONGER AND HOPPIER TO HOLD UP TO THE COLD AUTUMN NIGHTS.  UNFORTUNATELY, IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN OKTOBERFEST,
A BREWER HAD TO BE LOCATED IN MUNICH AND WHEN
SCHNEIDER'S BREWERY WAS BLOWN UP IN 1942, THEY WERE NO LONGER WELCOME AT OKTOBERFEST.
AND SO:
SCHNIEDER FEST
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20
WITH $5.00 BOTTLES OF
SCHNEIDER EDEL-WEISSE
SCHNEIDER HEFE WEISSE
AVENTINUS WEIZENBOCK
AS WELL AS WURST & KRAUT
